Katie Miles – Senior Manager

Katie Miles - headshot imageWith a degree in International Studies, Katie has always had a strong interest in people, cultures and community. Katie started her career in South Korea teaching english as a second language and moved to Australia to join a rapidly growing start up promoting higher education. There she was a part of the Culture Team for her office of 150 people. Upon returning to the States after four years abroad, Katie spent 18 months establishing a Salt Lake City office for a Los Angeles start up before realizing her true purpose and passion lied with advocating for people of all abilities. Utah’s natural environment is as diverse as its people. The evidence that recreation and sport activities are a proven catalyst to promote freedom, increase relatedness with others and enhance overall wellbeing, drives Katie in her position as Senior Manager of Development at the National Ability Center.

In her time off, you can find Katie outside – mountains, dessert, lakes, rivers – they all call her name. She also enjoys being a mentor for a refugee family for Utah Health & Human Rights.
